The Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Low ‘Lemonade’ reunites Virgil Abloh with Bruce Kilgore’s iconic 1982 basketball shoe. Abloh dips the leather upper in a rich mustard yellow hue, save for a silver Swoosh outlined in contrast zigzag stitching and the designer’s signature Helvetica text on the medial quarter panel. A matching yellow midsole features ‘AIR’ printed on the lateral sidewall.

In celebration of his exhibit premiering at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago in June 2019, Virgil Abloh teamed up with Nike once again to produce a Nike Air Force 1. The Off-White x Air Force 1 Low '07 'MCA' shoe features a University Blue leather upper and a Metallic Silver Swoosh with prominent stitching and a signature red tab. Launching as part of a special collection honoring the 75th anniversary of the NBA, the Nike Air Force 1 ‘07 LV8 ‘Lakers’ showcases the signature colors of the franchises’ early years in Minneapolis and Los Angeles. The low-top carries a white leather upper with contrasting powder blue accents on the eyestay and collar lining. The lateral side features a white Swoosh and purple quarter panel, while the opposite side pairs a purple Swoosh with a blue quarter panel.

Virgil Abloh presents a relatively straightforward take on Bruce Kilgore’s design with this Off-White x Air Force 1 Low. That isn’t to suggest there aren’t unique details on the reconstructed build: in addition to a mix of ripstop and suede, the upper features taped seams and a white Swoosh attached via zigzag stitching. Exposed foam and misplaced tags appear on the tongue, while ‘LOGO’ inscribed on the heel tab delivers a final meta flourish.

The Air Force 1 Low 'Orange Swoosh' updates the classic silhouette with unique branding elements and a slightly deconstructed build. The white leather upper ditches the heel overlay and medial-side Swoosh, while the lateral quarter panel features the Nike trademark in a bright orange hue. Additional details include reflective laces and Off-White synthetic suede on the eyestay and heel tab. Underfoot, the sneaker’s signature pivot-point outsole is rendered in translucent rubber.
